I. Postdoctoral Researchers

Dr. Athanasios Mourlas
Mechanical Engineer
Google Shcolar: Athanasios Mourlas
Office: C018
Tel.: (+30) 210 538 1292

Dr. Athanasios Mourlas is a Mechanical Engineer (B.Sc. TEI of Piraeus, Greece) and received his Ph.D. (University of Ioannina, Greece) on the tribological characterization of metallic and ceramic coatings. He has been associated with the TribLab for twenty (20) years as a Laboratory Associate and currently, as postdoctoral researcher, he is studying the effects of thermal cycles on the microstructure and tribological performance/properties of particle reinforced multilayer structures, deposited via conventional arc melting/welding techniques.

Dr. Ioannis Papantoniou
Production and Management Engineer
Google Shcolar:
Ioannis Papantoniou
Office: C018
Tel.: (+30) 210 538 1292

Dr. Ioannis Papantoniou is a Production and Management Engineer (Technical University of Crete, Greece) and received his Ph.D. (National Technical University of Athens, Greece) on the topic of manufacturing reinforced aluminum foams via "friction stir processing". Currently, he serves as a collaborative researcher of TribLab focusing on the elaboration of MMCs via solid-state techniques.

Dr. Lamprini Malletzidou
Physicist
Google Shcolar:
Lamprini Malletzidou
Office: C018
Tel.: (+30) 210 538 1292

Dr. Lamprini Malletzidou is a Physicist (B.Sc. Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece) and received her Ph.D. from the same University on the characterisation of surfaces via spectroscopic techniques. As collaborative researcher of TribLab, she is working on morphological and structural characterisation of coatings and composite materials.

Dr. Paraskevi Pantazopoulou
Chemical Engineer
Google Shcolar:
Paraskevi Pantazopoulou
Office: C018
Tel.: (+30) 210 538 1292

Dr. Paraskevi Pantazopoulou is a Chemical Engineer (National Technical University of Athens, Greece) and received her Ph.D. from the same University on the development of pigments for the protection of reinforced concrete. As a post-doctorate researcher of TribLab, she is working on electrochemical corrosion and oxidation of metallic surfaces/composites.

ii. PhD Canditates

Aristotelis Manousakis
Mechanical Engineer, MSc
Office: C018
Tel.: (+30) 210 538 1292

Aristotelis Manousakis is a Mechanical Engineer (University of West Attica, Greece) and received his M.Sc. (University of Ioannina, Greece) on Materials Science and Engineering. Currently, he carries out his Ph.D. thesis "Elaboration of metallic matrix composites reinforced by ceramic particulates via liquid- and solid-state techniques" at TribLab.
